Move over, BOTW. Rain World is my new favorite game.

So, Rain World. First, honest thoughts?

An unforgiving mess that sets you back by huge segments for even the smallest mistake. And I LOVE it.

Speaking from the perspective of a brand-new player that has made almost no progress, the lack of information the game gives you helps. When you don't know what's after you or how to survive it, the stress adds a layer of determination to survive.

The Outskirts are a good tutorial area. They introduce you to lizards, shelters, food, and basic controls. They're a fun place to explore and have nice environments and platforming.

Industrial Complex is stressful. It's filled with lizards, annoying jumps, and scavengers. Does have lots of food, however.

Overall, Rain World is my favorite game because of how detailed it is. There is an entire ecosystem, fresh animations, and an amazing art style. Love this game!
