I usually don’t make posts like this, but I feel like I need to share my experience working with Noxarion Studio.
For around 7 months, I was collaborating with the studio on game projects. During that time, I was told that a new part of the game would be worked on, and I waited about 4 months while being repeatedly told it would be done soon. Because of this, I wasn’t able to continue progressing properly on the project.
When I finally saw the updated version, the only major addition during those months was a set of stairs. literally. I was also informed that the full source project had been sent to someone I don’t know without my permission (that allegedly being @GlitchDevelopment
.
After raising concerns and asking for clarification, communication stopped. I was blocked, removed from studio servers, and my game was set to unlisted on the studio profile where it had been published as part of the team. Since then, I haven’t received any explanation or response.
This situation has been very discouraging and has seriously affected my motivation to continue making games. I’m sharing this not to start drama, but to be transparent about my experience and to encourage better communication and respect between collaborators in the indie dev space.
Because of this situation and the loss of trust and motivation it caused, I have decided that Shadows to Suffer and the upcoming Shadows to Suffer Episode 2 will be cancelled for the time being.
