New Animation

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any news about my new game’s developments so I figured it was about time for an update. The majority of my time the past few days has been going into the next scene in the game. Its coming out really nice and I’m really excited for it to be done. It is more of an urban environment compared to the graveyard scene I have posted now. Next I am going to be drawing up some interior scenes so hopefully that will go a little quicker than these large outdoor ones.

I’ve also drawn and animated the first enemy, the Zombie. He’s a pretty basic zombie enemy, you will be killing lots of these. I have a couple more ideas of some enemies that I want to put into the game, but I have yet to draw anything up. I’ll be sure to post a pic or two when I do.

Lastly, I’ve gone back and re-animated the Hero’s walk cycle and turned it into more of a run cycle. I feel that it definitely gives the player a better feeling of control and helps emphasize the Hero’s movement.

I’m currently planning a new UI so any screens of them that are posted are most likely going to be changed.

That’s it for now I guess. Check out the game’s page to see the new run animation, I think it looks pretty good compared to what it used to be. I’ll probably end up tweaking it more before the game is finished, much like everything else. :D

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Demonstration of the spells and their effects :)!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Animation test. Not an actaul conclusion to who wins sonic vs Mario. Just a test animation combo.

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
