Shortly after I posted my last devlog, I got robbed. By two armed bastards that I have cursed for a long while now. They made away with my laptop, phone, and wallet. Progress on my project was lost. But there were other serious consequences to losing my laptop.
Long story short, I had to work on getting a new one. I had to focus on running my software business.
Eventually, I got back to making games again. But my head and heart were just not focusing on BBG. The game felt cursed.
I switched to Godot some years back. It took me a while to get very comfortable with making games in Godot. I feel like I'm at a place where I have a firm grasp of how v 3.x works.
With BBG. I decided that before I jumped into developing anything, I needed to create a design doc. Something that gave me a bird's eye view of the whole game. From start to finish.
It took a while but I'm glad I did it.
Now... it's back to making progress on BBG.
