Honestly, I never thought I’d be making this post. I doubt anyone expected it (or maybe no one cared, I don’t know).
But to put it simply: I’m done, I’m stepping away from Android ports.
No matter what I try, the Android exporter just refuses to cooperate. I’ve gone through tutorials, tried different solutions, even reinstalled Clickteam Fusion 2.5, and it still throws out errors every single time.
What does this mean for the future Android Ports?
They're not happening anymore.
What about the current ones?
Just like with creating new ones, I am unable to update existing ports without getting an error message every single time.
As for the existing ports (CDH: Employee Training, Cube's Dark Hours Reopened), they will be delisted from their game pages, but they’ll stay available here on the "CDH Concepts & Extras" game page as archived builds.
Just to be clear, this doesn’t mean I’m stepping away from development entirely. I still enjoy creating and experimenting for Desktop, just not on Android anymore. At some point, you have to recognize when something is doing nothing but draining you, and the Android exporter crossed that line a long time ago.
I’ve spent hours trying to fix it: reinstalling, following tutorials, testing every workaround I could find. Every attempt led straight back to the same errors. It stopped feeling like "problem-solving" and started feeling like burning out.
So I’m choosing to put my focus back on the platform that works and has always worked (Windows), where I can actually spend my time making things instead of wasting time fighting with broken tools.
To the people who downloaded and enjoyed the Android ports while they existed:
thank you. They weren’t perfect, but I’m glad they meant something to someone. Even though future Android Ports (and current ones) are no longer being worked on, the projects themselves aren’t going anywhere. I’m still here, still creating, just shifting my effort back to a place that always made more sense.
This isn’t an ending, it’s me letting go of something that stopped being worth the time and the frustration.
That's all from me. I'm sorry for disappointing a handful of you. I tried my best.
As always, take care, stay safe, God bless!
