clarifying what happened to this project


Hello everyone, I'm back, but only for now since I'm not in good health, so I'll clarify this so you can support the future version of this project.


a night shift at dante's is a project created by the user @no_360 using inspiration from prockchop horror show and fredbear left to rot, in version 1 and 2 but then added ideas when he saw the together again office in version 3 that I will talk about in detail of the versions, this game went through many changes and many designs, changes to the animatronics, the only one that did not change was the lion, then the others were added over time, but now that this version has been canceled and @no_360 believes that the prudent thing to do is to share everything, I will do it.


V1

Version 1 was created in mid-2017 being a fnaf 1 without much joke but after that no_360 took inspiration from external works especially from some night at joe and porckchop for the gameplay and design, thus the first character was created being the lion the first that only changed his costume design before he was a knight but now he is an announcer, the other characters were already current ideas like the pirate oh la the thief who were created to be enemies for a mechanic that existed to this day, but the most important character is the duck since no_360 and I are fans of some nisht at joe so he did not think about making his own duck taking the first version of joe as a base but changing almost everything to avoid problems, this version is the least worked since as I said it is fnaf 1 so nothing was advanced or modeled,

V2

This version had been worked on and altered so many times in 2019 when everything was reset but it never came to anything, being only the office half-worked by me because the gameplay is not well structured without mentioning the problem of the designs at that time that were horrible that no_360 ended up discarding this version for the good of both since we ended up fighting over it, something that we ended up fixing and we remain quiet friends haha

V3

version 3 started in 2022 this being the most worked version even I at that time already made myself known in gamejolt and well at that time I continued practicing modeling and lights since it was mostly no_360 who finished the models since he taught me little in blender so you could say that he was not the one who did the most before and I only made the pathetic attempt to help, but after so much practice I was able to help him as it was and we were able to advance so yes, that is the reason why I am missing is because of this game since benny's believes it as a joke that now it is not like that anymore so lol.

Version 3 was the most worked on at the beginning of this year, going further than the previous ones. 12 rooms were created, the lore was already being updated and the map was able to reach an acceptable level of quality that was sought.

The project progressed well, so I personally asked Flavio, a super incredible modeler, to model the characters. A surprise for no_360 that turned out very well, and believe me, this game progressed well.

Five characters were modeled, the duck being the first and then the others, as I said for the Atomick commemoration. The others were created on the march and the lion had a different role. 4 more were planned as enemies in another sector of the map, 4 of them being a typical puppet, a girl who distributes candy, a magician squirrel, and a sleepy bat, but they never came to anything and even the edited puppet model was used to give a vague idea of ​​its design in the supposed demo that would be released.

Having clarified that point, I want to make a few things clear: this version, despite being the most worked on, the most detailed, and thought out to have a good lore, is canceled. If no_360 canceled it, it was due to 5 major factors

  1. The game is too big and he thinks that demanding so much from me and even the programmer was unfair, not to mention that Flavio is busy.

  2. no_360 firmly believes that the game is no longer worth it, or at least what we have is no longer useful.

  3. That the story is not original since the limit of Cliekteam will limit us more to a good story and gameplay.

  4. The puzzle gameplay is no longer sufficient and no_360 believes that it is best for it to be pure terror instead of challenges and strategies that are carried out from night 3 to the last.

  5. no_360 said that due to a lack of staff the game didn't arrive, especially since it was a fangame, so he made that tough decision.


Basically it's no_360 who told me ''it's not worth continuing anymore'', at first I got angry but it's true we spent a lot of time working on this game only for it to stagnate in other points, although what I said is sad no_360 thought that the best thing was to make it a totally original IP, yes, this version that is 70% complete was canceled for an original idea that is totally detached from fnaf so the created characters will return with a new design, a new and coherent lore and new gameplay.

Currently no_360 is personally working on the budget and looking for people for this since he believes that the best thing is that professional hands help to make it the game he so desires, currently I am not informed if it started or no but he will notify in due time.

currently no_360 and I will publish v3 as I said at the beginning we will reveal fourth characters and ideas that are no longer useful but no_360 believes it is better to share them, an extra fact is that our collaboration was decanonized, which was that his game and mine were in the same universe haha ​​now you know why I published those teasers on benny's page so yes that collaboration was canceled but I will still use the characters.
