This guy is a 2 thousand-year-old-plus half-demon (no, not under the command of Lucifer, the prince of Hell). He doesn't give a shit about his demon heritage but, being one of the Noctis (Latin for "night") demons, he cannot control his desire for power, which can be quite dangerous at times.

Lore

The youngest son and seventh child of Sonus Noctis, young Dean Noctis had quite a strange childhood. Taught to fight from an early age, the boy wanted no more than to be free from the grip of Ireland and explore the world. When he visited Wales, his wish finally came true and he began to explore the world, starting with the rest of Britain. He did most of his exploration at nighttime, because he had more freedom then. The darkness empowered him and he fell prey to the lust for more power, battling and nearly being killed by the Norse deity Odin. Dean was spared and healed, leaving what was then the country Scandinavia to return to Ireland. In the year 1600, he visited America, only to discover the English, Scottish and Welsh colonising it and forcing the Natives to do their dirty work. No longer a naïve boy, Dean Noctis inspired the Native Americans to declare independence and sure enough... 183 years later... they did. When he heard about Ragnarök, he became worried about the friends he had made in Scandinavia (*cough* Thor) and once he heard about Baldur's death at the hands of Loki, he was devastated. And then he quickly headed to Scandinavia, only to discover that Odin had already imprisoned Loki, much to his surprise and relief. Now, in 2099 (over 75 years from now), he is a force for good, but his short fuse can get the better of him occasionally.
