Onimo (a contraction of 'One-Eyed-Monster') was a concept I developed some time ago, in my earlier days of game development.
While I was proud of the concept, and even my early prototype which I eagerly passed around on an old Android phone. People loved the game- in fact, I rarely got that old Android phone back until the battery ran flat. That was just a simple demo, playing against a rudimentary AI.
The original idea was simple enough: a competitive sumo-like game with simple controls- easy to pick up and play but hard to master. I then expanded my vision with the realisation that the control scheme and unique characters could fit in so many more concepts. This led to me considering the Oniball (soccer) game mode.
I strongly believe this game has some real e-sports potential, due to its skill-based, competitive nature. With the right team behind it, perhaps the game would build a modest but strong following.
With that being said, I'm interested in finding people who see my vision for the game. This game will ultimately require network features and AI far beyond my current capabilities. While I can drive the project with prototypes and design documents, I am definitely out of my depth and would appreciate the support of developer with more talent than myself.
If you think you could assist with this project, please get in touch. There is no budget for the project, but there is potential for revenue, which will of course be split.
