Sister Location's choice of character was not really surprising if we're being real. Funtime Freddy was definitely a contender but just like Withered Freddy, I didn't want the art to be filled with TOO many Freddy's, and we need some girl power every now and then, so Baby it was! Kinda sad that she's getting more attention here than in her own game, but let's go right into that, shall we?
Yeah I'm keeping it real, I just do NOT care for Sister Location, like, at all. The hype around Baby might just be the biggest glazing Scott has ever done with a character, treating her like she was gonna become the new scariest character that would keep us up at night, when in the actual game you literally don't see her until Night 5. It's giving Rat & Cat from FNAC 2, if you know you know. The lore was just a complete mess, at least FNAF 4 was a game that still WORKED with the original story, Sister Location honestly felt like a random-ass reboot in terms of tone, mood, and gameplay. Of course, I don't MIND the more sci-fi direction the series took after that game, but it also just made things way more confusing than they needed to be. For god's sake, we STILL don't know 100% where it takes place, it could be as early as Fredbear's or as late as FNAF 1! I think the gameplay took the worst hit though honestly, because Sister Location tried to be unique with each night being a different task, completely ignoring that the only actual FNAF-style mode in the game was once locked behind an ending that's not even canon! Because of all this, I just kind of roll my eyes whenever I replay the game. BUT, if there's one aspect of Sister Location that I wanna give credit to, it's the characters and voice acting. The characters themselves are really cool-looking, especially Ennard! The fact that he's literally all the Funtimes meshed into one crazy endoskeleton just goes so hard. Everyone else looks really nice/detailed, like Funtime Foxy, Ballora (you already know why), and Baby herself. Pretty impressive for a game that came straight after FNAF World. This being the first MAINLINE (not talking about FNAF World, cool it) FNAF game to have full voice-acting is super cool, and the actors knocked it out of the park! Kellen Goff ESPECIALLY, dude has basically BECOME Funtime Freddy at this point! Overall, while nowhere near being my favorite FNAF game anytime soon, I can recognize that Sister Location tried to do well and make something new. Hope you liked this new reading! Sorry if it was a bit longer than the others, I just like getting my big thoughts out you know?
