I already KNOW I'm about to get some comments about why I didn't draw Malhare/Glitchtrap, but... come on, Spring Bonnie is basically the same thing. Quite honestly I just knew that Glitchtrap would look weird as hell next to the other characters, since his whole point is to look realistic and uncanny. I'm an artist, but even I probably couldn't turn that guy into a sweetheart. Spring Bonnie still works from an outside perspective, and even ignoring that... were there any other notable characters from Help Wanted that I could use? Of course, there's Dreadbear, but he's more of a DLC character than a MAIN GAME character, you know? Oh well, sometimes it's better to just stick to what you know!
FNAF HW really holds a special place in my heart. Sure, it isn't entirely perfect, and it DID lack some things that later got added (like the Withereds), but for what it was in the moment, honestly was EASILY not only better than other FNAF games (gameplay-wise) but also just MUCH scarier entirely. I've been scared from FNAF games/fangames in the past, and I've been very vocal about that. But FNAF HW was the very first time I COLLASPED in fear. There's just something so scary about seeing the animatronics moving in real time and getting close to you. When I first played the FNAF 1 section of the game, I legit just fell down instinctually when I saw Chica heading towards my door. To this very day, NO other FNAF game/fangame has ever done that to me. It wasn't even scary from a horror perspective or a lore perspective, it was just surreal being in the same room as 7-8 feet tall animatronics! Everything else about the game (aside from the lore) was handled so nicely, like how accurately they captured the vibes of each game and adjusted it to work in a true-3D setting. I honestly have ZERO issues putting this game in something like the ULTIMATE FNAF game tier. Like, if I wasn't so biased for FNAF 2, THIS would be my favorite game in the series! I'm not gonna lie though, the lore made for the game was... Something. So for starters, everyone (including me!) thought that Scott self-inserted himself into the lore of the series, but then it was stated that the games we played back then were actually in-universe propaganda made to make Fazbear Entertainment look trustworthy? WTF!? Yeah, safe to say it was just really insane and borderline fan-fic material. Thankfully it's a lot more understandable now since we have answers and stuff, but yeah I could understand why people might not like it story-wise. Oh well, it's all just preferences at the end of the day! Tomorrow I will post the FINAL character for the group art, but of course my project won't just end there. All I want to say about it is that the big drawing I'll post on August 8th will basically be "The Last Supper" of FNAF art. Hope you all enjoyed reading this folks, stay virtual! ;)
