pixel art irl

For my fellow cross-stitchers:

I used 14 count aida cloth (from a cheap kit someone gave me) and a mix of DMC and Anchor floss (which are fairly old and I don’t think the numbers are accurate anymore).

No, I didn’t use a hoop. I usually only use hoops or frames when I’m working on larger cloth. Just how I roll. I think I’m going to add some washi tape or loosely sew on some bias tape to stop the edges from unraveling as I add more designs to the cloth.

Took maybe 2 hours? I did this while watching tv and just worked off a screenshot I took.

I used to be really interested in 35mm photography. I have a small film camera collection with the oldest one being from the 1930s.

I tried to find the source to give credit to the photographer but all I found was some fake Nintendo game selling for $304 on Amazon.

Hoping to get my skates today! I’ve been a little obsessed so I tried to stave off my tendency to be impatient by creating this cross-stitch!

Update: Skates are here. I definitely didn't fall on my butt almost immediately.

Based on some pixel art I made for the “fashion” prompt of JOLTober where I reimagined Princess Peach in different eras of European history.

See second image for the original art.

I think my favourite is the 1520-1540 Princess Peach.
