I have planned some updates. No definitive release dates, though!

• 1.3: The Lost Levels Update

  This update will include a chart for Data Stream, which was added in 1.2.x but was never charted. This was because I forgot about the song. The creator of the song. Mr. X, was an ex-boyfriend of mine, so don't ask for a DS remake. It's NEVER HAPPENING and whatever's in the FLP currently will be in the mod but as a "hidden egg", which will be a hidden folder, and will never be charted, as it's unfinished & cancelled. This update will also add RAM, a song that was originally going to be for the second week that I canned. This song never made it into the mod, as I thought it kinda sucked, so I'll chart it & add it to the mod to give it a chance. Songs part of this update will be in the Lost Levels week (only consisting of 2 songs lol)

• 1.3R: The Redux

  (displayed as "1.3.5")

  The update will change ASCII Funkin', with a new background for every song (excluding Shutdown) while also adding one extra week for Reduxed songs, being remakes of the music. And just to clarify, the redux for Shutdown if it ever comes to the mod will NOT be the remake that I made (Shutdown v2) as it's cancelled as I don't really have anything to add to it anymore. See the above update paragraph for what'll happen to it. The UI will be changed, like the ratings and stuff. There will also be an Erect Remix for Dial-Up if it happens! To unlock it, you'd have to beat the main week, the lost levels content, and the reduxed songs. But that's not all, there may be a second week like I promised a while back.

  Also, the sprites for ASCII will be upscaled to a beautifully smooth 4225x3454 (in contrast to the original 586x544) and she will be given an updated icon set provided by JB Standards, who is linked below.

  Whatever songs will be risen from the dead & given a second chance as a Redux is up to the decision of the composer of Vexated Tribulation, JB Standards (Remade Felis and composed Distributor.) Either of the two possibilities will happen:

  • 1 (Chosen) - Only the songs with FLP files will be reduxed.

    • RAM

    • Dial-Up

  • 2 - All of the songs will be reduxed. (This was chosen!)

    • Every Week 1 song WITH the inclusion of RAM & Dial-Up which were mentioned above.

  1.3EX - Felinomania!

  If you thought ASCII Funkin was too easy, even the old charts, then don't fret; there will be an Extra Hard ("EXHARD" ingame | freeplay & the pause menu) difficulty; which may include the following mechanics.

• Hurt Notes

• Higher scroll speed

• Modcharts (in the form of events so it's exclusive to Extra Hard)

• Health drain

• Mania-Esque charting (Charting that is kinda similar to either osu!mania charting, akin to how certain mods like Shaggy do.)

• Master Songs (Songs or remixes of pre-existing songs that were made ONLY to be played in Extra Hard. These will be listed separately and will require you to complete Weeks 1 & 2 as well as the Redux Week. I would make it so it has to be a Full Combo in order to unlock said songs, but the difficulty of CPU and Overclock make this somewhat impossible. Master songs will be LOCKED on EXHard, so just hope you're good enough.

  The things for 1.3R are just a chunk of the stuff that'll be added/changed. The logo bump will also get a change, and ASCII will appear in the place of GF in the title screen if possible, as well as menu music.

  This will not include Unicode which is abandoned for the following reasons:

• • Uni has no sprites, and his sprites were never done. Plus, Terra likely disassociated from the mod.

  • The creator of Uni (JereEPIX, who also created FNF Chipflake: Chipped In, which will NOT be linked here) is a predator who attempted to groom a close friend of mine, and even failed to go after JJVUltima.

The reasons stated above are also why a Thunderstorm cover, Typist, will never be added to the mod.

These are the currently planned updates for ASCII Funkin. Anyways, there's also a poll. This is to see what you want in 1.4 and newer.
