Project OHNO! (Alpha 1.0.0 - "Offense And Defence") Changelog


-=Changelog=-

  • Finally added a Menu.

  • Added a complete description of every single Frostie in the game to the menu.

  • Added completely new Frostie: Icegift.

  • Icegifts move very slowly and have very little health, but once killed they explode into three random Frosties.

  • Added a Transition between the Menu and the Game.

  • Added four new difficulties you can select from, each one modifying wave sizes, difficulties and time.

  • There is now a new minimum and maximum distance that the Gun or Shield can be from the player and the Gun and Shield moving away from the player is quicker for a higher sense of control.

  • Timing your Shield Thrust well can now grant slight bonus knockback and weaken your enemy for a short period of time, it taking more damage and dealing less damage to you. This is a Shield Parry.

  • Successfully Shield Parrying will deal half the usual damage to the Shield, adding more benefits to skill.

  • Shield Parrying will also increase how fast you switch from Gun to Shield.

  • Added a sound effect for Shield Parrying.

  • Shield Thrusting now reaches slightly further than before.

  • Frosties hitting the Shield now deals slight knockback to you, which can be cancelled with a well-timed Shield Parry.

  • Frosties hitting you now deals slight knockback to you.

  • Explosions now deal knockback to you and to your Shield.

  • Smoothened Frostie knockback effects.

  • Changed time between waves spawning to much more dependent on how many Frosties are on screen as opposed to the minimum you've killed passing, changing between difficulties.

  • Added capability to scale wave sizes and difficulties.

  • Lowered the normal difficulty of Frosties spawning.

  • Added Shoot keyboard shortcut [Z].

  • Added Shield keyboard shortcut [X].

  • Slightly modified Frostie knockback from hitting you.

  • Barely modified Gun firing.

  • Fixed a bug with Bullet rotation where the Bullet would be incorrectly positioned depending on it's rotation.

  • Fixed a bug where you could still take damage to a Frostbomb exploding whilst in a Dash.

  • Fixed a bug where holding LMB at the start of the game would fire a bullet from an incorrect position.

  • Fixed a bug where Pointice had the capability to summon Frosties that weren't intended for normal gameplay.

  • Fixed a bug where the enemy count would incorrectly not go down when a Frostfrostie or Frostfrostmite were killed.

  • Fixed a bug where starting the game wouldn't correctly override all data from the previous game surrounding the Gun.

also finally finished all eight cameras, took forever tho lmao. they look pretty nice imo.

i'm struggling a bit with some gameplay ideas but so far four characters with fully functioning ai have been implemented.
