Can't believe it's been 2 months since the last post! I've been really exhausted with work, so progress is slow. I've reworked a few things and fixed a couple of movement bugs. I've also been working on adding sound effects and balancing audio. I have come up with a more robust save system that I'm going to implement soon and I'm about to add in a setting menu to change audio levels, controls, and a few gameplay settings.
Next big additions are going to be upgrades and adding the enemy above. I'm going to rework since in the old game it was generic which would be fine if it wasn't the second enemy in the game. It's going to have a spinning saw blade and since it's pretty fast it will try to run into you and when it hits something it will slow down (along with the blade spin) and slowly rechange the spin. This is a little more complex than the enemies with projectiles but should be more fun to encounter. I'm going to start with adding this then move to upgrades since those aren't fully thought out yet.
I'm pretty excited to start work on it but it probably not going to be until this weekend.
