The last month had the drop of the FNAF movie and HW2, so there's been lots of content going around. I myself have been on-and-off busy, but the project is moving along a bit each day. All in all progress has been steady if a bit slow but I do think I can have a playable demo of the game's first two nights by the end of this winter.
With that said, what have the last 3 months been spent on?
3D models mostly.
As this is still largely a one person project I've been spending most of my project time on creating new models and animations. We have a familiar face here who takes an antagonists role in the game. They're also easily the most cartoonish character being an aspect of unreality/a-straight-up-ghost.
It even brought you a present.
Second, I did get the architecture for the individual nights and days fully setup. Compared to models and animation these will actually be relatively easy with the work already done.
Fortunately, we finally get to ask Fazbear's the one question we've wanted answered for a long, long time.
While most the work on this project is still being done by me, my friend KVSRoyal has been helping with the daytime voxel art, with Henry asking Quincy here just how their first nightshift went. Hopefully he's ok with language.
My friend Clover has also been helping with design and the story. It's leaning towards being a detective game with the player being asked to solve the mystery, which has the nice advantage of a more directly told plot at the cost of it needing to be told carefully.
Finally, I want to give some special thanks to Briakitten, Clover again, CK, and especially Tonyboyy as they have provided a wonderful quantity of play-tester input over the months. With their combined feedback I've gotten to the point that the game is solidly playable and understandable, even with all (checks notes) 14 animatronics active.
I'm looking forward to the next time I have something good enough to show off so expect one or two more updates over the next two months about whatever progress we've been making.
Look forward to seeing you then, and have a great Happy Holiday!
