Rock Beyond Time is finally here!

After about three years of development, I'm releasing Rock Beyond Time. This is a 2D action-RPG with multiplayer support, in the style of classic SNES games like Secret of Mana and Illusion of Gaia.

Multiplayer is available with most modern game controllers, as far as I know.

Travel through time to find a post-apocalyptic world with medieval influences, and back to a modern-fantasy world to try to stop it. You'll find musicians, magic, fighting, demoscene-like bosses, and more.

If you find any bugs, let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

That boss is now done, and implemented.

I can safely say I've completed half of the main game now, even though it's just the first three levels and the second-to-last.

Time to do something else.

Welcome to Space.

...not much going on here, is there?

Animation testing, again.

I map animations to keyboard buttons, then figure out the AI. Character movement is tied to the animations before adding the AI.

...and that's why I think a fighting-game mode can be programmed in this game.

Why a chrome sphere for this logo? Because I wanted to.

What happens in the "O" usually changes from game to game. Cybosaurs had Sinistar, Shiro Ninja had , Shiro Ninja Mayhem had Pirate Jack, Dragonian had the cast of Staff of Laria, and so on.

I realize some players just want to play the game and see the story, while others may actually want to use those revival items, so here's a little compromise for you all.

Also, yes, I NEED to put on that "Pro" flag everywhere.

I was considering releasing the expansion today, but then I found a lot of bugs I should've spotted in the original build, and I made the minimap do extra stuff for said expansion.

Don't worry, it'll be out by tomorrow night.

It's getting closer to being finished.

Even though the 2.5D gimmick was only for that one level, I see no reason to not use it for this boss fight.

A rather interesting thing I forgot about...

Now going through the animation process. This could take a while.

It's kind of a wonder how Treasure managed to pull a front-facing boss moving sideways at least twice.

Part of the expansion involves a cute little fight right here. ...in space for no apparent reason.

...too bad it won't be as epic as the final boss, but still...
