Scrapped concept for a mcdonald's themed fnaf fan game (read below for further details)


A while ago, I had an Idea for a half mac tonight and half five nights at Ronald's themed fnaf fan game called Golden Arches.

It would take place Inside a special Mcdonald's establishment that would feature three floors, several activities for all ages, and an animatronic band consisting of Ronald and his friends.

The player would be put In the shoes of a mascot performer by the name of Daniel.

Daniel transferred over to the night shift to Investigate the death of his coworker and close friend.

Throughout each shift however, Daniel would witness each animatronic character gain sentience and attempt to find him.

The lore, like the rest of the game, didn't get very far Into writing as It was one of the key reasons why I stopped working on It, because I couldn't think up a story to set It apart from the mac tonight games.

Gameplay however did manage to get much farther, as I experimented quite a bit with Ideas before the concept was canned. Firstly, there was Ronald's mechanic.

It was heavily Inspired by the fnaf 3 audio mechanic but with a few twists. Firstly, the player wouldn't just play one sound on the Intercom system they'd use, rather, they would have a selection of three audio cassettes to play.

Reason behind this was that since Ronald would stop falling for the same sound, the player would have to use a verity to keep him distracted, otherwise, he'd simply Ignore the Intercom speakers and continue his approach towards the player's office.

Second and lastly, the player would be forced to use speakers that are not In the same room as Ronald, as doing so will result In the Immediate destruction of the speaker.

Furthermore, If the player can not turn off a speaker playing a sound before Ronald gets Into the same room as It, then the speaker will be destroyed.

The second mechanic I had planned was for Hamburglar. He would slowly approach the office before entering the hall connected to It.

The trick Is however, there are no cameras directly placed Inside the hall, with the only one coming close being one placed near an area leading to the hall.

Furthermore, the player can not see outside of their door to see if Hamburglar Is there or not.

The only way to tell If Hamburglar Is In the hall or not Is sound. If the player listens closely, they can hear his faint foot steps In the hall. Once they stop, the Hamburglar will Immediately burst Inside the office.

To hide from him, the player must duck Inside a locker next to the door and wait for him to leave. Not going Inside the locker, or hiding as he enters the office will result In Immediate death.

The last mechanic I had In mind was for the Fry Guys. They, like Balloon Boy, would act as enemies who would mess with the player's equipment and Indirectly kill them If not dealt with. In the Fry Guy's case, they would enter the boiler room and disable the cooling fans In the player's office.

To stop them from doing this, the player would have to use the electronic lock on the boiler room door to keep them out. Failing to do so would result In a slow death from heat rising Inside the office.

Overall, the main reason Golden Arches never got past a few concepts and Ideas was not only the story problems, but also my lack of motivation for making such a game. Maybe In the future when Lament Is done I will return to It. For now though, It remains scrapped
