Game
Capture the Intelligence

seeing the strangely large amount of modding the game's been recieving, would it be a good effort to attempt to write a tutorial detailing how to add an enemy to the game?

this is the video that caught my attention - Capture the Intelligence Pizzaface Mod - YouTube

seeing as i've been asked how to get the game open in UMT multiple times (sincere apologies if it doesn't work for you - i genuinely have no idea how to fix it) and someone's managed to work through my spaghetti code to the point of being able to add fully functional new enemies - not only just to the game but getting them working as TOWERMODE SPAWNS - is insane to me. i love seeing shit like this, it's endearing as hell and i'd love to see how far people can push this game

that being said i have no idea how big of a demand a tutorial would BE. if i were to make it, it'd be from MY perspective, digging through the game in GMS2, not using UMT like i'm assuming you have to when modding a game like this. that being said, to my knowledge the objects and events ingame are laid out the same regardless of how you access them, so it might prove helpful to people...? my programming skill is utter dogshit so it might help - to me, adding a new enemy is very plug and play since the essentials (pathfinding, detection logic, reporting to noises) are already there for me to gleefully ignore as i can get to work doing whatever needs to be done

that being said, 1.2 will add FOUR new enemies - filling out the empty space in the custom mode screen. if you're deadset on turning CTI into a sort of diet, top-down rpg horror MUGEN, that might be something to keep in mind - is it possible to resize objects in UMT? i don't know, you guys probably know better than me

figured i'd ask, especially to bring attention to this mod because it's insanely commendable effort like goddamn
