I want to open with:
Don't put unneeded weight on the tips of your elbows for funzies(I was dumb when I was a late teen, putting all my weight on my elbows.) Be nice to your ulnar nerve for the love of mother earth. You will thank yourself.
So, I have a nice XP Pen Artist 12 Pro tablet, it has a screen and its absolutely lovely to use...when my pinky finger isn't going numb because of my elbow injuries.
I can't use the screen anymore because I have to lean in to see better on it and it makes me bend my elbows for too long at a time. I can use it like a classic drawing tablet and use it with my main monitor so I've got that going for me.
I'm near the end of my recovery and hoping my current state isn't my "new normal" but its not looking great so far. There's a lot of things I can't do like I used to or as often, I haven't tried beat saber yet and its my fav way to exercise, and figuring out how to manage to draw is important to me.
I'm considering seeing if one of my sisters will let me borrow their IPad for a week to try out drawing that way and see if I can make that work. If that's the case around this time next year I may buy one.
I can draw on paper just fine, so I'll see what happens.
I also have an issues were my arms tire more easily than they used to, but this may be due to me not using them for several months for lifting things as simple as a gallon of milk, as that would aggravate the condition.
EDIT: Duh, maybe I should try laying the tablet down near flat? Feels better already.
