After the events of episode 6, the cult kidnapped some random child (he's dead not even part of this) and forced a demon into his body and now control said demon and makes him kill people who might be a threat to their plans. He is allowed to roam around town but roy (in my hc roy and his family are part of the cult) is tasked to hang out with him and just make sure he doesn't try anything silly. He is forced into a ritual every like week that keeps him bound to the body and the longer he goes without this ritual the more his demon will "break out" of the body which kinda hurts a lot, so the cult use that to keep control of him.
