"Sylvanian Families™", also known as "Calico Critters™" in The United States Of America, are a Japanese-originating, toy-collectable figure-line started in the year of Nineteen--Eighty-Five by the Japanese gaming-company "Epoch®"; centered around the imaginative play of anthropomorphic animals living out human-like lives, by portraying roles such as school-students, venders, tailors, bakers, mechanics, et-cetera.
Although "Sylvanian Families™" started in Japan, they are available in many places around the world, including America, where they are called "Calico Critters™". There is also a television-series telling the story of each of the characters in the toy-line, as well as several Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance video-games, the latter each of which conveys and inspires the imaginative play in different and unique ways from one another.
This song comes from "Sylvanian Families - The Fairyland Pendant" (or "Sylvanian Families - OToGi No KuNi No Pendant" in Japan), released for the Game Boy Color in Nineteen--Ninety-Nine, and serves as the game's "Close To Home"-theme, as there's a focus on exploration, but with a strict 18:00 (06:00 Postmeridian) curpheww which, if ignored, sees any in-game ProGress made during said non-realtime day undone.
The game is notable for having a per-virtual-day auto-save feature (which was incredibly rare on the Game Boy Color), a banger soundtrack, and a moderate difficulty-curve that even tricks some adult-players of the game, like the man in this livestream:
