„Yes, ‚they‘ were the same. The boy then, and the man now. He stepped back from the mirror, eyes red as the moon. ‚They‘ could not be estranged. And so, he cried.”
I’m allergic to consistent posting
And here he is; Nikola Volkov, brother of Gretel and prestigious military leader in the German army.
While the main piece is not canon, as I was just drawing him as a monarch for funsies, the ideas more certainly are. He presents himself as above others, infuriatingly efficient and utterly heartless, easily taking the lives of others without a second thought. A symbol of cold loyalty to his kingdom, yet he desperately tries to distance himself from his past. Not only the horrors he experienced while at war but his family and childhood aswell.
Insert more epic lore dumping here cuz I’m actually trying to write [the] story out somewhere else and my brain is very spent.
(In short, he is very angsty canine poetry coded.)
JUST BECAUSE I GAVE HIM ALL MY TRAUMA AND ALL MY ATTENTION DOES NOT MEAN I CONDONE HIS BS, HE IS A VERY BAD PERSON AND MURDER IS BAD BUT I DO LOVE HIM
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE,,,
this all takes place in late during the 1800’s / early 1900’s, but we’ve got a sort of ‘castle in the stars’ situation going on
(read castle in the stars btw)
anyway it’s basically a sci-fi/fantasy au of earth so the events are gonna be a lot different then what’s canonically happened))
Airships, hovercraft, and world war type shiz)))
