Next up

We spent some time further polishing the battle system, and are ready to show off another enemy and it's first attack. Due to the slimy bodies of the Goouls, a certain counter works better than others!

To spice up the Mario & Luigi combat even more, we're iterating on it's enemy resistance system - some of the attacks won't work on certain enemies, but they'll put others into entirely new states, inviting some strategy into the order of your attacks!

Just like in Mario & Luigi, most Duo Attacks in the game will not be infinite - but as a trade-off, will pack quite a punch! Here's a look at the first Duo Attack you get in the game, Ace Serve!

Remember when the earlier Mario & Luigi games let you perform certain Bros. Moves infinitely? We do! Here's a look at one of the first Duo Attacks you get, which, once upgraded, lets you perform it forever, until you mistime the input!

In our efforts to further spice up the Mario & Luigi combat, some enemies that react differently to specific counters, can then bounce off other enemies too! Here's one example, which was also our way of including the green shell bros. move in spirit!

This one's a pretty big update for any Mario and Luigi enjoyers - a certain familiar attack is finally fully implemented, with all five ratings! From missing the command, to timing it perfectly, with different effects to accompany both!!

In Mario and Luigi games, if a bro gets KO'd, you have to carry him while dodging attacks, which wasn't very fun - so we decided to scrap it. Instead, Tara or Vyn will just drag the other off-screen.

Also showing off the graphical overhaul for the sewers!
