Got bored one day and was watching some Steven Universe clips and was like “What if there was a Gem Fusion like concept in a Taalfs Au?” And then this was born.

The background lore of the Fusion Au is that fusions are extremely rare and have caused a number of religions and legends (like the Greek or Mayan gods) to pop up. Come modern day no more fusions seemingly exist, at least until Andreas and Asuras. Every fusion is guaranteed to be seen/worshipped as a deity and do have deity level powers and abilities.

Andreas is a fusion of Haiden and Lake, yes, this is a Lake x Haiden Au, and Andreas is a more demonic leaning fusion in both appearance and ability due to the side effects of Lake being “tainted” by the Handshaker’s presence. Andreas is more ambivalent about regular humans, doesn’t care for them much but is fascinated by their “selfish and petty” natures. He’s also very parental with Ashley and Lucas (or Asuras if the two are fused) and will get very distressed when the two out out of their line of sight. Andreas sees Ashley, Lucas and/or Asuras as their children, so gets protective of them and rather violent if kept from them.

Asuras on the other hand is a fusion of Ashley and Lucas, yes, Lucas gets a physical form (the fusion Au can work with both animatronic and human versions of Lake and Haiden). Asuras often feels a huge amount of discomfort and gender dysphoria due to being both male and female (intersex), also because they feel weird about the entire thing. Lucas and Ashley are also uncomfortable with fusing and often do so as a survival mechanism (usually when running away from an overeager Andreas), which makes Asuras very skittish and shy. Asuras is also very lethargic because of this, he’s running on adrenaline the entire time and so she ends up sleeping a lot of the time.
