Up until now, you have heard and seen a lot about our two starting characters: the wolf and the pig. As previously announced, we initially plan to add three more characters: a witch, a fairy, and a gnome.

Our splash art, depicting all five characters. Please note the gnome, positioned furthest away in the distance, closest to the wolf.

Our progress on the visual side of the game is starting to catch up, and today we are proud to show you our gnome in all his three-dimensional glory.

The gnome is a runt, which means that he is part of the team trying to escape from the monsters. Personality-wise, he might come off as crazy, schizophrenic, or just overly confused. He has different, but similar names for himself that he likes to utter in response to occurring events. Once in a fight, he's a trickster who can spawn clones of himself, working as decoys to fool the monsters.

Character design aside, we are also working on infusing a sense of culture into the game environment. If you look closely at the gif above, you can see that the gnome is standing beside a rock with humanoid features. We imagine that these particular rocks are the final form of the gnomes - what they turn into once they get old, if they are worthy, that is.

Aside from this, we have had a relatively quiet couple of weeks, occasionally disrupted by sickness and holidays, which are common for this season here in Denmark.

Unfortunately that also means that we are not able to give you an update on when you can expect the ‘Visuals’ patch to drop.

As always, if this biweekly dose of chatter about TagTime does not satisfy your hungering curiosity, join us on Discord and Twitter where we more frequently share updates.

Thanks for reading!

Hi all,

We've decided to put our biweekly devlog schedule on hold for the time being. As we are actively pursuing third-party funding, we need time to focus on finalizing a vertical slice of the game.

The feeling of being watched..

If you have been keeping tabs on the development of TagTime, you are well aware that we have been working on a major visual update to the game. Read more about it in this dev log :)
