TagTime

We now have our entire cast of characters fleshed out in 3D. Read more about it here..

Back in December of last year (2023), when Anastasia had put the final touches on TagTime’s splash art and established the concept for the game's characters, we could hardly imagine how their three-dimensional counterparts would materialize. Creating a single interactive anthropomorphic character, let alone multiple, is a daunting task, to say the least. Neither of us had extensive experience in developing such characters from the ground up. However, thanks to Lucas's eagerness to learn and his hard work, we now have all five characters modelled, rigged, and animated in 3D. Well, except for the fairy she still needs rigging 😀

On the programming side of the game, we are still working on our major netcode revision. The last month has felt like a desert wandering in terms of making any impactful progress programming-wise. But now, this week, it feels like all the small pieces are coming together nicely. In two weeks, we should be able to play a match with our visual overhaul.

In our two previous dev logs, we teased that we would soon release a new playtest build with the new visuals. However, that plan has somewhat changed. We have decided to take the time to prepare for a major push of our visual overhaul. This means updating our storefronts, creating new trailers, and changing how we approach our marketing efforts. We are also reconsidering how you can access a build of the game, whether it will be released as a demo, for closed testing, or solely through our Discord channel, is yet to be decided.

The feeling of being watched..

Ever since our first dev log, we’ve been teasing the new champions coming to TagTime. In our last dev log, we showed you the beautiful progress Lucas had made in fleshing out the pig in three dimensions. Now it's time that we introduce 'Luske'..

If you have been keeping tabs on the development of TagTime, you are well aware that we have been working on a major visual update to the game. Read more about it in this dev log :)

We have visually overhauled TagTime! To really get our game development rolling, we are looking to establish a community that we can playtest our game together with. Join our journey on our community Discord! https://discord.gg/mE6K9nyYsx

Hi all,

We've decided to put our biweekly devlog schedule on hold for the time being. As we are actively pursuing third-party funding, we need time to focus on finalizing a vertical slice of the game.

Up until now, you have heard and seen a lot about our two starting characters: the wolf and the pig. Today we present our newest character, the gnome..

A bit late to the party, but Happy New Year nonetheless 🥳 After a welcomed holiday break we are back at it with a dev log covering our progress developing #TagTime and a look at what’s to come for 2024.
