Weekly progress update #7


Hi there everybody!
Today is the 7th devlog of the weekly devlogs.
So it's like, 1 week worth of weekly devlogs. I think that asks for something special....

Ignore his lack of body.
I've started working on his model this week, he might get finished in like, 3 to 4 weeks or so.

And as per usual, there's a better preview on my Discord server.


Aborted Manora's updated textures

Last week I forgot to add the dirt to Manora's textures, so now she looks more damaged.

TL;DR:
It's a shit concept that doesn't bring anything new to the table


So, if you've been following this game for a while now, you probably know about the 3 previously "announced" DLCs of the.

One of those DLCs was Popgoes Colors, which was an original 3rd Popgoes game idea that I had.

I've abandoned that idea due to it not being good enough, and today you'll read why.

For starters, Popgoes colors was going to take place after the events of Popgoes 2, after the good ending.

A new Popgoes pizzeria would be made, but using some newer versions of the main characters, and with Lillie the Lamb, Owen the Owl and Cody the Coyote.

The pizzeria would have 2 floors, the main characters would be in the first floor, which would also be where your Office was at, and Lillie, Owen and Cody would be on the second floor.

As for the gameplay, you would play as a new version of Strings, with fancier equipment n' such.
I've only planed out 2 characters mechanics, so, it worked like this:

Popgoes would start on his stage (which wouldn't be on your Office, cuz the Office has it's own room rather than being in the Main area). Once he woke up, he would go to a random room with 3D printers, to print a new version of Blackrabbit. However, you could shut down all of the 3D printers before he got there, and if Popgoes couldn't go to any 3D printers, he would trigger his second behaviour.

In his second behaviour, he would instead go straight to your Office, to raise your panic bar.
To get rid of him, you would have to hide under the table, and then he would go away.

For Blake, he would start on his own small showstage, then he would go to the pizzeria's generator room and try to sabotage it.
To prevent him from doing that, you would have to reset his position by pressing a button.

So, I guess it's now pretty obvious why I didn't wanna do this anymore, right?
It's essencially just a Popgoes 2.0.
And don't bother expecting for Popgoes Colors, BECAUSE IT'S NEVER HAPPENING.
