Popgoes Eclipse is an open source remake of Popgoes The dead forest that tries to bring back the same vibes as the original Dead Forest, but with some quality of life improvements, stylized graphics and new spins to the original gameplay to make it more chaotic and challenging.

This game also includes new Post-night sequences, aswell as a retelling of the story, in a way that makes other Popgoes sequels cannon.

Not long after the events of the Grave ending in Popgoes 1, Strings wakes up, damaged in the pizzeria, only to find out that the pizzeria has been taken over by Simon.

After Simon hacked into the Weaselware's systems and killed Fritz, Simon ripped apart the heart modules of the animatronics and a few parts of Strings, in order to build the Epitome animatronics.

During the night, the Epitomes wander around the pizzeria and the warehouse, searching for new victims, meanwhile, Strings now has to try to deactivate Simon using the Weaselware, and while trying to survive the night's without being caught by any of the threats lurking within the facility.

You play as Strings, a security bot made by Fritz, with the goal of guarding the pizzeria at night, however, due to recent events, you'll have to go downstairs to the Warehouse and survive 5 Nights until Strings is able to deactivate Simon.

The gameplay takes place in the South Office, located in the Pizzeria's Warehouse where you'll have to survive from the animatronic threats that roam the Warehouse at night, such as the Epitomes, the Heartlesses and the Reprinteds.

In Popgoes Eclipse the gameplay loop consists in 3 main mechanics:

Luring

Hacking

and Hiding

During the Night, the Epitomes roam around the Warehouse looking for you, you'll have to lure them away from your Office using the 3D printers to lead them into longer paths that won't pass by your Office.

Meanwhile the Heartless versions of the original animatronics will start activating throught out the Night to try to repair themselves. You'll have to stop them from doing so by collecting they're data using Buttons and then spending that data on deactivating the them, otherwise they'll become unstoppable.

A: For now, no, but that doesn't mean I won't make them in the future.

Q: Is this game going to be ported for mobile?

A: A mobile port for this game is very unlikely due to some of the game's mechanics requiring you to play with a mouse and/or keyboard. However, if someone does make a good mobile port for the game, I would like to be contacted to make the port an official release on the gamepage.

Q: Is this game a sequel to Popgoes Evergreen?

A: No, it's a sequel to Popgoes 2016.

Q: Does Kane or the Popgoes 2 team know about this project?

A: As far as I can tell, no (may be updated in the future)

Q: Can I beta test the game (I'm 5 years old)?

A: No.

Q: Is Candy going to appear in the game?

A: Maybe..........
