We'll cover some stuff that are completed thus far on the phase 2 update. More will be detailed in the wrap up post. This will be a pretty hollow post as we don't want to say too much as the final phase 2 post is around the corner with much more detail. We'll just briefly describe what has been completed thus far.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
=INVENTORY=
The inventory is for the most part completed. We created a basic system to help with item programing. That got reworked completely to allow a better system to take place that wouldn't be 15 "yes but" commands in a row to set where an item is located. Currently the inventory works as it should and items are easily programable. The UI currently is now under a rework to get the basic design we want.
=INTERACTION=
We're still experimenting with the object interaction system, working with stuff being in hand when in use, and causing reaction events when being used. The system is on the backburner until we sort out the inventory but the foundation code is set in place and ready to be added upon on an item by item bases.
=FLASHLIGHT=
We added the ability to brighten/dim your flashlight at the cost of battery usage.
=STAMINA=
We made the stamina system a little more robust. Some bugs with it have been fixed so far, and a UI element has been created and attached to the system.
=ENGINE=
We moved over to UE 5.1 and set up multi-user development using the engine itself with an external source control as a backup saving system.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We know this isn't a whole lot of information or stuff being released on what is completed in phase 2, but we wanted to release a post about it as a small update for people to see.
As we said previously, there will be a wrap up post soon when some of the bigger stuff is either nearing completion or is complete and we can move onto phase 3 of production. If you guys have any questions feel free to comment below, and if you want to follow the development of the game, you can head to our Trello page and check it out.
