Personally, I love what they went for with the horror esthetics for it, it scared tf out of me when I first played the BFG edition on my Xbox 360. I'm still scarred for life from that Imp door jumpscare at the beginning of the game...
However, I do feel like they could have made the boss fights better, like the cyberdemon boss fight for example.
When I first played it I thought it was going to be something like "alright, so I'll have to kill the demons that spawn to charge up the cube, use it on the cyberdemon to stagger him (since you cant damage him when you try to shoot him normally) then spray him down with my weapons" NOPE. wish it was more like that though instead of just using the soul cube three different times to kill him, way to easy.
The resurrection of evil DLC... uh... rushed shit that could have been up to par with the main campaign and the only thing good coming from it was its final boss... enough said.
