Game
1/10000 chance for Foxy Jumpscare (Deltarune mod)

Woah woah woah! What's this?? A new update already??

Long story short, I added settings to the mod! You can change how often foxy will jumpscare you, along with other tweaks.

Check out the article for more info.

When you run the mod for the first time, it will create a file called "foxington.ini" in DELTARUNE'S save folder. Some of the options are self-explanatory, but there's some text in the file that explains the options that aren't as clear.

This article explains each setting in detail and how they work. The information here is also located in the "HOW_TO_INSTALL.txt" file

Odds

Chance how likely it is for a jumpscare to happen. The higher the number, the less likely it'll happen.

Interval

The amount of seconds or frames between each "check". Essentially how often the mod will try to jumpscare you. There is no check to see if the number is above 0, so if you set an invalid number, either the mod will not work or your game will crash. Sorry!

Unit

If set to 1, the mod will interpret the interval value as frames. Otherwise, it will default to seconds.

Can kill

Whether or not foxy can kill you when jumpscared. Not recommended unless the chances are extremely slim and you want an extra challenge... or if you want to do this for fun. I'm not judgin' !

Volume

How loud the sound is based on a 0 to 1 scale. Not recommend to tinker with, but the option is nice if you want it higher or lower. You can even set it above 1! (you shouldn't, but you can)

Earlier in development, characters would sometimes overlap like this haha.

Version 3.0 is out!

You can make your own custom jumpscares!!!

Custom sounds, custom sprites, easily swap between jumpscare presets... yeah!

I hope you all enjoy the customization :>

Status report on V3!

It's basically done! You can full customize your mod with your own sprites, sounds, and movement! See attached images :3

I just want a tutorial video for the in-game mod menu before I upload it to GameJolt, and maybe GameBanana.

I've got some cool news, y'all!

The game is now playable from start to finish!

That means all of the main content is done, and all that's left is polishing the game and fixing bugs!!

Still no release date, but we're almost there

It's been over a month since I announced Gartentale!

I've done good progress since, like finishing the ending cutscene, I just cant share it due to spoilers ;-;

What ill do instead is post some old content/work to avoid radio silence ^^"

This was what the monster dying effect initially looked like.

As cool as it was, it was expensive and inefficient, because it would scan the sprite pixel by pixel and create a new object for each white pixel.

... i scrapped this effect, of course.

There's this bowl of "oil candy" sitting here...

A sign says "Happy halloween!"

How convenient, today is halloween.

You take one.

Happy Halloween :3

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.
