Zombit Nightly - 1.12.14


After taking a nice break for the holidays I’ve fully recovered from gingerbread and eggnog overdose. Sitting on a train for four hours also led to quite a bit of development.

As promised, players can use a new weapon, there are ammo pickups, AND two new types of zombies. At the moment they are only visually different, but I soon hope to add a little more variety between the different types. Each zombit will probably get different stats like health and damage dealt.

Coming soon, more dynamic bullet damage, more levels, and possibly a level selection or map type screen. I haven’t decided yet.

Changelog:

  • Add: Ammo crate pickups for extra ammo.

  • Add: New zombits, well 2 of them. Currently just visually different.

  • Add: Ladders. Like elevators but faster.

  • Change: Tweaked existing paths for zombits on levels.

  • Existing Bug: Hit boxes for new zombits are offish.

  • Existing Bug: Door Transitions don’t work on mobile

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
