Working on a bunch of stuff...probably too much to be honest. Here's something I did ages ago as a test to see if I could figure it out. CONVEYOR BELTS.

When the world is built each Chunk works out the which land type is the most, then it can use that to adjust the land tiles to give variation, i.e I can have different types of Grassland instead of all the same tile.

30 Generated 3x3 maps with the current settings.

Some 3x3 maps using the current settings. These are all generated with the same Seed number.

My first attempt at running this actually crashed after 15~ maps, turns out I had an old surface being created and never destroyed, so ran out of memory!

Still couldn't figure out the UV thing, so trying out something simpler, just 1 shader effect.

That way I only have the one additional texture page swap.
Doesn't really work with the swamp, too blue, but the ocean is kinda nice. Gives me sunset vibes.

Hmm, right so I couldn't figure out the UV thing, so I swapped to doing water in separate passes so It wont constantly change the shader texture, just once per pass

Seems to work fine, though there is an FPS drop (still reasonable)

Ok! Water shader is working again, and back looks like this for now! Top is probably a bit too white, but it's all working and much more efficiently and faster. It's also not going over the side of the Swamp edge, so it looks like it has actual depth.
