My favorite part of game dev is the coding. While art is my strongest asset, however coding in unity has been an interesting journey for me. Learning new occupation about coding to create action or setting the rules has been beneficial.

My favorite part of game dev is boss design. Fighting enemies is fun but fighting bosses is even more fun.
Turns out designing bosses is fun also. There are many patterns and styles to apply.

I'm using OpenBoR engine for my games. It's engine mainly to make Beatm ups but it could be customized to create platformers, shmups, metroidvanias, action RPG and 1vs1 fighting game.
The bad dev habit I quit doing was compared to other game dev. Self-doubt can play at times when you encounter experience game dev. But what I learned be yourself and don't compare to other game dev but learn from them to be a better dev.

1There are many bad game dev habits. However bad habit I quit is trend chasing. I prefer to make games in genre and style I really love and capable of.

There are many but one that deserves more attention is Iron Meat. It's a fun run 'n' gun inspired by Contra series.

What dev habit helps me the most is listening to music while I work. Sometimes a little distraction helps the mind at ease when facing touch roadblocks. As an artist, music at times helps me bring out creativity and ideas of what a game is.
