Near the beginning of Metroid Fusion in Sector 1, if you look closely at one of the atmospheric stabilizers, you can see a Gamecube hiding in plain sight -- a little easter egg from the developers.
Metroid Movie Explained:
In 2004, iconic Hong Kong director John Woo acquired the rights to make a live action Metroid movie. Woo's team spent the next 3 years in pre-production, but ultimately were unable to agree with Nintendo on the lore.
