Turns out the game was doing EXACTLY what I told it to do.
I told it that Verity couldn't change direction and that it should wait until the screen fades out to make the characters run.
It's always the simple things you forget isn't it? XD
When characters in RPG Maker just flat out refuse to move for literally no reason whatsoever.
Like- what?? why??
I have no other events and I haven't changed any plugins wtfrick?
