After the tragic closure of Fredbear's Family Diner on May 20th, 1983, a devastating incident followed. The co-owner's son, Evin, was fatally bitten in the frontal lobe by one of the animatronics—an attack caused by the reckless actions of four teenagers, one of whom was his own brother.
Two months before this incident, Freddy Fazbear’s Diner had just opened its doors to the public. However, the so-called "Slash of '84" led to a temporary shutdown of the new location, casting a dark shadow over the franchise’s future.
