Main idea

survival wave game, simulation room that changes after each wave, portal art style, techno music style.

SIMPLIFIED

First person shooter, the player has a special weapon which has a setting to change through 3 different colours. The player is also presented with different types of enemies. If the player needs to kill the green enemy, the player will have to use the green setting in order to shoot it with the green projectile.

The player will progress through different “testing facilities” which get gradually more difficult and harder by giving the player a larger variety of enemies, this will demand a large amount of focus in order to effectively identify different types of enemies and quickly shoot it with the required colour of projectile.

ADVANCED

The player has a weapon.

The weapon is special, the weapon has 3 different primary colors, red, green and blue.

The player will encounter enemies, the enemies are different colours, for example – if an enemy is green, you will have to use the green setting in your gun in order to kill it, if you use a different color – it won't affect the enemy in any way, to make the game more difficult in the later parts of the game, the player may be deducted of health everytime the player makes an incorrect shot.

Also, if the enemy is purple – it will have to get shot with the blue and the red colours in order to kill it.

The game may feature different movement features such as wall jumps or crouching, to make the movement feel more fun. The levels will be created with different movement options in mind, to keep the gameplay intense.

The game will also feature various power-ups such as temporary speed boosts, and rainbow gun power-up which will allow you to kill any enemy no matter the color.

These power-ups are there to help add more fun and variation to each gameplay, these power-ups can be dropped by the enemy, which has a random chance of dropping, this adds more reward to the gameplay.

There may be different dangers in the game such as turrets and lasers. The turrets will be like the enemy robots that chase you, except they are static, and they shoot projectiles at you, which you will have to avoid.

The health system will be like most games, the player will have a certain amount of health such as 5-10. Each hit to the player will deduct health, once the health is drained the player will have to restart the gameplay. However, the player will be able to gain health back by random drops by the enemies that have been killed.

The difficulty will get harder over time, at the start of the game – the enemies won't be as different in colours, as the game goes on the enemies will have more differentiating colours to keep the player focused and add more challenge, since the player will have to quickly react to the choice of colours used to shoot the enemy.

The player will progress through different rooms, each room will have a different layout and demand a different strategy for each room. And will get more difficult over time.

For example – a level would be laid out in a way which allows the player to quickly get to different points to effectively tackle the enemy waves coming at the player.

A level may emphasize different levels of height, another level may keep the player on the ground. This type of design will make the game a lot less predictable which will make the game more intense and fun.

Audio:
The music in the game is going to be heavily based on Cyberpunk Synthwave genre music, which is going to fit the futuristic feel of the game. The music will be made up of different robotic sounds and a few robotic sounds turned into a melody.
The sounds effects will also sound futuristic as in, more metallic and tingy sounding.
We are also going to add some dialogue in to add some story background and to add some comedic value to the game.

Game Idea:

Survival wave game

Main player has a gun with a colour change setting which changes the colour of the laser and lighting, the colour has to match with the enemies colour to kill it. For example – The player encounters a green shelled robot, they will have to change the colour to green and shoot it to kill it. If it was another colour laser, it wouldn’t affect the robot. The gun has the three primary colours (red, green and blue).

At later waves, the robots could have secondary colour shells, this means the player would have to shoot it with both colours to kill it. For example – the player encounters a purple shelled enemy, they would have to shoot the robot with both blue and red lasers to kill it, after being shot by either colour, the shell will change to the other colour. For example – the player shoots a red laser at the purple shell, the shell then turns blue and vis versa to show the remaining colour.

Single room where it changes after each wave. Blocks/walls coming out from the floor with holes in the ceiling and main walls for the enemies to come through.

This is our first game we just want to post it when it's playable for feedback and to see when bugs and improvments we can make
