What do you think?

when are you gonna make it able to download?

Great game! The music is a little bit repetetive and it was a tad short, but this has a really cool concept. 7/10

Download Link It Up! for windows. Note: It's still recommended that you play it in windowed 800x600 resolution

Link It Up! is a puzzle platforming game.
In this game you need to link up the line in a way that allows you to reach the end of the level.

Controls:

  • A & D / Arrow keys -> Move

  • Left click -> Move the line

  • Right click -> Reset the line

  • Space -> Interact with switch

  • N -> Skip level (only works if you played through the whole game)

Link It Up! features 30 levels that include interesting puzzles as well as cool platforming challenges.
You can move by using A & D keys and because you can't jump you have to move the line in order to reach the end of each level.
The line has it own variants. There's a normal, black line that works as you expect it to work. It just allows you to go from point A to point B in a straight forward way. There's also bouncy, blue line. As the name suggests, if you fall on this line it will bounce you of higher and higher.

all-ages

Link It Up! now has Optional collectibles.
I haven't really figured out what to use them for yet, but I'm thinking of something like a high score or level unlocks.

New technique for bouncing off yourself

You can't connect the line to red connectors? Let me change that real quick :)

What do you think about this subtle camera movement?

Whoops :D

This level in particular focuses more on platforming than on puzzle element of the game and it changes the pace from relaxed to something a bit more tense.
Which is cool in my opinion, but I'd like to know what do you think about it.

I already found an interesting use case for enemies in Link It Up!
This still needs some polish though, it's a bit slow at the moment.

Enemies that adapt to new patrolling route should make for good puzzles later on.

Adding something that can make you bounce off always makes the game more interesting.
