I see the inspiration on spore and E.V.O. from SNES!
I recommend you increase the variety of possible evolutions, and allow players to choose the look of their creature!

Miscreation is a platformer with a unique way to play: build your own creature from scratch, adding arms, legs, wings, fangs... all sorts of parts, in fact!
Start off as a humble blob, bouncing around and eating other blobs. Collect Essences and take them back to your homebase, where the Goddesses of Yggdrasil help you evolve into weird and wonderful forms.
Miscreation is a blast back to the NES past, where a game called E.V.O.: The Search for Eden made gaming history by letting players evolve and create their own creature. E.V.O. inspired Spore, but few other games used the evolving concept. Now we're reclaiming it for another 2D platformer!
