This is a rpg fishing game. Explore a vast land seeking, discovering, and catching various types of fish. You'll be leveling up improving your fishing skills to become the greatest fisherman!
In this game there will be platforming elements as you attempt to cross difficult terrain.
-Running
-Jumping
-Climbing
You'll also be speaking to residents of the area and other fishermen, gaining information on specific fish you are after.
As there will be different types of fish to catch, there will be different locations, and types of bait to attract various fish.
Certain bugs works best for certain fish! You'll also be on bug hunts, which will help you get rare fish on your line!
As you are searching and discovering fish, there will be also a story involving mysterious fish that is deemed nonexistent residing in those lands.

My dev flow is pretty much hopping on and off several different segments in game development. Just a few days ago, I was fixing a few bugs in the fish catching mechanics, now here's a NPC model. A local fisherman that's not too happy about your arrival.
Here's a first quick peek at the actual fishing mechanics. There's still a lot of refining to do but the aim is for a simple yet strategic system to catch fish. Being mindful of how strong the hook is set, to the stress on the line determines the success.
Take a good look at our main character. He's going to need your help in order to become the greatest fisherman in the world!

Project Mystic blue won't contain any real fish, but some will have the likeness of real fish: bass, catfish, trout etc....
And this fish is commonly known as the Black Glammond.
A pretty common fish, but it's well known for its powerful fight.
Working on the dialogue system. Still at it's bare bones stage, but we're getting somewhere! :)
There's still a lot of work to be done, but the fishing mechanics are set. You'll have to be mindful of how you decide to reel in the fish. If the fish is powerful, it could snap your line if your not too careful.
