This game is still under heavy development and may need a while to be finished. I'll keep ya updated!
The Plot
In the fabled year of '99, you are a determined college student who is determined to pay your rent. You decide to take up a job as a night security guard at a local diner with animatronics, to make some extra cash. You are confident that you can handle the job despite the challenges it may bring, and you are willing to sacrifice your sleep schedule to achieve your goal.
The Location
Nestled in the heart of Oakland, Michigan, there lies an extraordinary restaurant that has been the talk of the town for the past three years. Known as "Ronnie's Big Band Theatre," the restaurant pays homage to the golden era of music, the big band era of the 1920s to 1940s. However, as you step inside, you'll be surprised to find that the interior design is quite different from what you might expect. Instead of a vintage look, the restaurant boasts a more modern and vibrant 1980s diner-style theme that will transport you back in time. Despite the mismatch between the name and the decor, Ronnie's Big Band Theatre has become a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, thanks to its unique ambiance, warm hospitality, and, most importantly, the Showbiz Animatronics, which steal the show with their realistic movements and lively performances.
The Robots
At this location, the Animatronics are considered to be highly advanced and revolutionary, especially for their time. Although they might seem complex, they are relatively simple to understand. Within the head, there is a small compartment that houses all the components required to make the showbiz robots function. These components are mostly computer-based, using state-of-the-art technology for the time.
In simpler terms, the Animatronics are essentially big PCs. They use a lot of computer components such as processors, memory, and storage devices. These components are responsible for the Animatronics' movements, sound, and visual effects, making them appear lifelike and entertaining.
It is interesting to note that these machines even run on Windows 95 PLUS, which was the most popular operating system at the time. This fact showcases how advanced and ahead of their time these Animatronics were. Despite being machines, they brought a new level of excitement and entertainment to the world of showbiz, and their impact is still felt today.
