An early recovered disc labeled "SMA" surfaced at a garage sale, reportedly belonging to a former Nintendo employee prior to his passing. The disc contained two files: `Mario3.rom` and `Savior.DLL`. Initial attempts to play the ROM on standard emulators were unsuccessful; however, by utilizing the `Savior.DLL` file, a custom emulator was developed to finally access the game.

The contents revealed what appears to be a lost beta version of *Super Mario Bros. 3*. Interestingly, the game adopts the visual and gameplay style of *Super Mario Bros.* and *Super Mario Bros. 2* (Japan, known as *The Lost Levels*), suggesting a transitional design phase between the series’ earlier titles. Additionally, unlike typical Nintendo prototype builds, the game is entirely in English, implying it may have been created with Western audiences in mind.

***NOTE THIS IS NOT A REAL ROM OR EMULATOR, THIS IS A FAN HORROR GAME!*** #fangame #exe #horror #mario
