Space Hopper is an action-adventure game where players take on the role of Joseph, a resourceful and athletic young man who finds himself caught up in an intergalactic conflict. Joseph grew up on the streets, developing skills in lockpicking and tool building that he uses to progress through the game. One day, while walking his dog past an abandoned house, Joseph decides to explore and discovers a device that transports him to another world. There, he meets Zonok, a skilled fighter from a planet that was invaded by the Skull Empire, who is now leading a rebellion against their oppressors. Joseph joins forces with other characters he meets along the way, battling through enemy forces to help save the galaxy from the Skull Empire's grasp. As players progress, they can customize Joseph's appearance by finding new gear and weapons to add to his arsenal, giving him new abilities to overcome the various obstacles he encounters.
