What do you think?

Will there be a console release? Like on Nintendo or Playstation?

Meet SuperWEIRD [Alpha]

Automate an army of lemming-like bots to help you clean the world from the Goofy Goo: build bases, fight off monsters, collect treasure, and don't forget to grab your friends for help! Save the locals, and pigs in shades will buff your bots in return.

Alpha vs Full Game

Here you can play the short Alpha of a much larger game SuperWEIRD that will be released later on Steam.

Automation

Alpha: Idle Automation

Full version: Automation Roguelite

Game depth

Alpha: You have a single prebuilt location, no research tree, no deep progression

Full version: Over 30 locations to assemble a unique game world on a map with NPCs and lots of biomes. Five research trees, one for each NPC.

Number of players

Alpha: Single player and Local co-op mode (2 players on one screen)

Full version: Single player and Co-op mode

Next Stop - Steam Playtest

It’s free, it’s coming soon, and it’s fun!

Get More Involved

If you can’t wait to play, you can join the closed playtest by filling out the sign-up form.

This version will be much rougher, but everyone who participates and sends us a video of their playthrough will get digital immortality — and a mention in the credits.

Discord is also an awesome place to be - we are online and active here every day. If you like to read, we have the Newsletter.

We also have a YouTube channel where we try to answer your questions in more detail — especially the ones we couldn’t fully cover here in the comments. Check out our latest dev diary, which is entirely dedicated to answering your questions.

Question: our favorite #mobilegame

Mobile games and their ads were a big inspiration for SuperWEIRD, especially Whiteout Survival. The current browser version, which we'll show soon, still carries traces of that inspiration.

And here we’re testing upgrades. The idea is that different NPCs will help the player upgrade different systems in the game… but we haven’t drawn that part yet, so for now it looks like this.

And here are some of our old artworks. Here we were exploring how the sky in our game world should look. By the way, we still haven’t figured it out. What do you think?
