Undertale Yellow: Shine And Sparks is an Undertale Yellow™ mod that hopes to retell the story of the Yellow SOUL, fresh and filled with tons of changes and additions for a fully reimagined experience.

With a complete visual overhaul, on top of adding back in unused content from Undertale, new secrets, new features, attention to detail changes and more, all designed to be canon-compliant, there's plenty to revisit and do.

Being based on the Nintendo Switch & XBOX versions of Undertale, this mod also adds in the exclusive content from there, such as borders and achievements!

Experience a new take on the beloved 1 year old game with one of the most ambitious Undertale Yellow™ mods out there, and we hope you stay tuned for more updates!

This mod is NOT complete. We're just starting at the Dark Ruins so far.

Page screenshots may not always accurately depict the content in the mod, but instead it's most up-to-date development version.

Any assets from Undertale™ and Deltarune™, as well as the games themselves, are by Toby Fox & Co. Any assets from Undertale Yellow™ and the game themselves are by Team Undertale Yellow.

This guide exists to aid you during the installation process and hopefully answer and questions you may have. If you see an [O] next to any step, that means it's optional.

The guide includes 3 essential sections documenting everything you need to know.

A) Preface

• This mod was designed to work for the latest version of Undertale Yellow.
  The mod will not work on old versions of the game.

• SnS is currently not playable. Bear with us as we try to create the best mod we can

• This mod is incompatible with other mods, including language mods.
  Unless those mods were designed to work with SnS or perhaps distributed as scripts for UndertaleModTool, they will just result in errors.

• Save files for the mod are stored in a different folder called Undertale_Yellow_SNS, in the same directory as the original Undertale_Yellow folder. Normal save files can work with SnS for NOW. Eventually this will change. No matter what, for the best experience, we recommend you restart to see all our small details

• By downloading this mod, you agree not to re-use any assets from it for your projects without asking for our permission first. Our spriters work hard!(BUT, we are very flexible about it, so if you are able to reach us, go ahead!)
  Our art style is what we call an "HD Artstyle," and everybody is allowed to use this.

B) Instructions

1. Download the mod from !!THIS PAGE ONLY!! other pages are most likely scamming you and we recommend you check your files for viruses.

2. Extract the files from the mod download - Make sure you place the download folder in a memorable location, unless you're going to add this to your Steam library.
   (Note: There's an extra folder with optional remixes of some of the original tracks. If you want, you can add those too for the full experience!)

3. [O] Add to your Steam Library - Steam makes it easy for you to add things to your library. Go to your Steam library and click "Add a Game." Click Add a Non-Steam Game, then click browse. Find your Shine & Sparks EXE file and select it. Then select "Add Selected Programs."

4. Launch the mod - Click on Undertale Yellow Shine & Sparks.exe.

C) Troubleshooting

• A file explorer window opens when you open the EXE - Make sure the EXE is in the same folder as the data.win .
  Also make sure the data.win is called "data.win" (or "data" as a .win type file if you don’t have file extensions showing).

• Loading screen never ends - Check the title of the window. It should read "Undertale Yellow Shine & Sparks" or some variation of it.
  If it says "Made in GameMaker: Studio 2" or similar, please reinstall the mod. If the issue persists, see the previous tip.
  If not, be patient, as Shine and Sparks is a fairly large mod.

• You get a "Select File" window when running the mod - All of the files need to be in the same folder as the mod's EXE, so make sure they are.
