This is a neat, cute looking game. I couldn't finish it, but neadless to say...
You should add a sound track, "click space to retry" kind of button whenever you die and a pause menu instead of restarting the game with escape(also you could add options for sound).
Anyways, I hope you take what I said into consideration, good job and good luck!

I think you should add auto-respawn or a key for retry, 'cause click on retry is boring ..
