Game: Angry Stan And the Island of Doom

Story:
Stan has been washed up on an island in the middle of the sea, he is basically screwed
all he can really do is try to survive as long as he can.

The island happens to be littered with gold coins, Stan figures, that if by any chance he survives,
he would be better off surviving with the gold coins than without them.

Goal:
Collect all of the gold coins without touching the incomming ocean.

known issues: For some reason allegro is occasionally failing to load up certain resources,
if it does this just try it again, if all else fails try a rebuild.

keys:
space to jump
A and D to move

note:
the tide rises and there is something akin to a day and night cycle.
if you wish to toggle fullscreen mode there is an ini file in the Media folder

"Angry Stan" uses the allegro library, for some reason allegro fails to load the terrain, the reason for this is a mystery, but the problem is not persistant so may return. If anyone has discovered a similar problem in there own work and has solved this problem please let me know.

Microsoft visual C Runtime <- since microsoft are miserable failures, the visual c++ compiler will automatically link in the c runtime, which can cause the game to fail on start, while I have spend a good amount of time, addressing this issue, if you have not installed the redistributable package, it is possible that the game will simply fail and not give a sensible reason.

this "issue" is the sole responsability of the Microsoft Corporation and If this happens you have my permission to wrap a keyboard around Mr Bill Gates's head.

Strange resoulutions or hardware may result in the default resolution failing, in this case the game is set up to fall back to a secondary resolution of 800x600, if this fails the game will simply attempt to find a "safety-resolution", the placement of certain elements in the game in the safedy resolution are unpredictable. in the event that the safe mode fails, you have unsupported or outdated graphics hardware or drivers.
