What do you think?

I did a Let's Play on this game, and I really enjoyed it! I still find it odd that red/pink is present, but it doesn't detract from the finished product! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVnkkFvausw

NOOOOOOO! I missed voting on this game by about a second.

Awesome game though. The combo system is really satisfying. Very nice artwork and animation, and the music fits the game really well. It has a classic feel.
Having a little bit of screen shake each time you fell an enemy might add even more to the sense of intensity in the combat. Just a thought. :)

Keep up the awesome work. :D

Do you consider to export your game to Android 4.1 with gamepad controller support maybe? It could run on the OUYA or nVidia Shield.

This is a F***KING AMAZING GAME

its very straightforward I LOVE IT

although its physics are kinda clunky it really supports the combo and gameplay depth

The game is just DAMN hard, which makes it even more loveable!

sadly no dodge button ;-;

and BOI, this game needs more attention!

9.5/10

Hi, Shoutscion. Just wanting to let you know that I would have been glued to my gameboy if this was made back in the day. I honestly believe that, at some point, you should put this game up for Steam Greenlight, cuz this game seems very well polished! Here is my play through of the game if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgVkUnkJgOs

Also, if you are wondering who made the character art, that is by Clover Lawn, and his twitter account is in the description if you are interested in contacting him. :)

Armored Dove is a sidescrolling, platforming beat-em-up made for #gbjam3 in which some armored woman named Dove does her part to help cull the weird magic clay zombie population with sick air combos.

Controls are as follows:

[A] attacks

  • attacks change depending on context. hold a direction and attack in the air to perform different moves

[S] jumps

[ARROW KEYS] controls, attack modifiers

Features a straightforward and intuitive combat system, a satisfying and robust cast of enemies, rolling stats, mystic kung fu, gigantic hitboxes and sick air combos.

Made in 9 (10? how many days were there) days for GBJam3, and clutched out right at the end. Credit to Super Robot Wars A for the music (which i have once again straight-up stolen, the tracks being "You get to Burning" and "GO! Asteviales") and to Hopoo (of Risk of Rain fame) for playtesting the aforementioned sick air combos.

(technically runs at 200x144 res, but the whitespace on either side of the screen brings the actual viewable area to 160x144. the intended effect was to make it look like it's being emulated)

Check back here occasionally for updates, and check http://shoutscion.tumblr.com/ for the original development blog, and maybe more information upcoming sick air combos?
