STORY:

Are the streets of New York really dangerous as they say? Yes. Yes, it is. Friday Night Funkin' takes a grim walk down the streets of the Big Apple, and it's going to get messy.

BF and GF visits the cold and bustling city to host a meet and greet for their fans when one obsessed fan goes too far. What seems to be a innocent fan interaction becomes a living nightmare as the two are dragged down a criminal underworld; constantly on the run to survive and away from GF's ludicrous and demonic parents.

However in this cruel and grim city, you're not gonna make it out alone; you're going to need help from some new faces. Expect to get your hands a bit dirty this time around.

SECOND WEEK IS ON THE RISE...

With a full year going by since the first week's release, it is now time for a brand new second week to take the spotlight. This week is gonna be a bit of a doozy, I can tell you that much. Week 2 will follow in the footsteps of a new character, Lucy Zheng, an undercover cop looking to crack the case of what exactly happened in Time Square during Week 1. What she finds is an answer that isn't as simple as she thought.

So what can you expect in this update?

  • New characters; all with their backgrounds that extends the plot.

  • Plenty of additions to the game, including a What's New panel to update you on the changelog. Carlita comes into play and she has just opened her brand new Shop where players can buy Wallpapers and Lore by spending coins they've earned based on how well they play songs in the game.

  • Previous songs reworked visually.

  • Added more thematic elements to make the game feel more pronounced. With this, comes more options to disable certain features and mess with things to your liking. (Or your computer's liking lol)

  • Even more fancier graphics, scrumptious music, and even more reasons to get offended.

  • All new Concept Gallery to showcase some of the works throughout the development of Week 1 and 2.

  • And even moreeeee... can you find it all? First person to do so gets a scooby snack.


DEV NOTES:

This week was crazy as hell to get through. A lot has happened since the release of Week 1 and it was a lot for my tiny brain. Week 2 MAY be my last week I'm not entirely sure as of yet, keep in mind I'm just one guy carrying the entire visual and coding aspect of the game. So that's a lot of pressure for something so silly and stupid. Thanks to my lovely friends for helping with the music (Random, NovaVA, Nero, and Nasa). I couldn't have done it without them. Huge thanks to the Funkin' Team, they've created something so great that it made me wanna do this in the first place. AT THIS POINT, JUST HIRE ME MAN.

we made the first test build for the game. a shit ton of bugs and stuff, but gameplay wise, gucci. i still need to finish the cutscenes (last two images) and fix the game's main engine and we're good to ship this off.
